Recycled PET (rPET) is a highly valuable and environmentally friendly material – capable of eliminating pollution from recycling streams without limitation. The Arlidanison CleanFlaker product line aims to increase the production of rPET while maintaining crucial shelf appeal.
Brand packaging designers and manufacturers are both seeking PET packaging solutions that support conventional recycling methods, particularly through pollution-free separation methods during sink/float washing processes. The CleanFlake technology complies with the design standards of the European PET Bottle Platform (EPBP) and Petcore, both of which emphasize improving the production of rPET.
Translation: As a simple and convenient solution, CleanFlake technology is compatible with the existing value chain, providing a simple pathway to improve the recycling of PET bottles without leaving any residue of adhesive on the resulting PET flakes. It improves the current limitations of adhesive contamination in pressure-sensitive labels, which hinders the reuse of PET for new food-grade containers. The unique "detachable" CleanFlake SR3011 adhesive allows for contamination-free label separation through alkaline washing at a minimum temperature of 70°C, lower than the standard industry temperature of 85°C (if cleaning is done below 70°C, it must be individually evaluated based on the PET packaging type and recycling process).
