With brand owners continuously seeking the benefits of sustainable development, there is a rapid increase in demand for sustainable raw materials in the industry. By using plants as raw materials for processing products, it can avoid the use of scarce petroleum resources and prevent pollution caused by fossil fuel extraction. A survey conducted by the European Commission in 2013* showed that 77% of European consumers are willing to pay extra for a product if its green certification is deemed trustworthy.
The surface material is made entirely from sugarcane ethanol. It has been certified through the Bonsucro@ program. The functionality and processing process are similar to conventional polyethylene (PE).Plant-based PE films can be recycled in regular polyolefin recycling streams.
This bio-based PE film is a new addition to the diverse and sustainable raw material family of Aridani. The surface material of this film is made entirely from sugarcane ethanol, and the resin used in its processing has been certified by Bonsucro. Additionally, the material has a processing process similar to conventional polyethylene (PE). The film can be produced in both white and transparent forms, and it is easily replaceable for fossil-based polyethylene materials. Moreover, the recycling methods for plant-based PE film are the same as those for conventional polyethylene.
